Credit Specialist/Sr Credit Specialist (217098-980)

The Credit Specialist prepares formal credit reviews for counterparties, commercial and industrial accounts and proactively monitors customers' credit issues.- Responsibilities include the following:
Analyzes technical financial statements, banking and trade references, rating agency data (financial and collection risk data-S&P, Moodys' Fitch, Credit Risk Monitor, etc.) and industry,-peer group and internal data; Prepares formal write-up and recommendation based upon credit worthiness for approval to senior and executive management; Conducts collection activity, cash applications and A/R reconciliation; Gathers, analyzes and prepares monthly CRC package for executive management's review; and Participates with team in special credit projects involved with portfolio reviews, credit procedures and cash flow cycle time improvement.Required Skills Demonstrated proficiency with-various software packages such as JD Edwards, CMS, Altra and Microsoft Office Ability to conceptualize and assimilate data Ability to effectively work in a team environment Required Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field At least four years of credit experience which demonstrates a solid understanding of financial statements, credit fundamentals and credit risks associated with financial derivatives
