Customer Service Coordinator, Norwich Aero

Qualifications: Experienced in both commercial and military Request for Quotation and Purchase Orders/Contract formats. Must be able to understand the various terms and conditions contained therein and coordinate with applicable departments. Must be accurate, detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills. Responsible for interfacing with customers to resolve any questions or exceptions as necessary to process request for quotations or purchase orders.
Must have computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Initiates internal work releases (sales orders) and modifications as required upon receipt of customer purchase orders/change requests, and/or delivery schedules.
Specialized Training Required: Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR's), Defense Acquisition Regulations (DAR s), and be familiar with INCOTERMS and export compliance.
Responsibilities: (Attach additional sheet if required)
Process Customer Requests for Proposals/Quotations
Verifies contract/purchase order terms and conditions.
Evaluates customer requirements.
Perform cost comparisons/analysis relative to quotations, generate price quotes and forward to customers.
Follow-ups with customer on bid status.
Resolves invoice pricing discrepancies.
Process Customer Purchase Orders/Contracts
Review purchase orders/contracts to ensure agreement with quotes.
Originate internal sales orders.
Manage in-house performance of orders.
Daily coordination of customer delivery schedules with Planning Dept.
Respond to delivery changes via customer web portals.
Responding to customer problems and inquiries in a timely manner.
Work closely with logistics and shipping personnel to approve export shipments using OCR system.
Inside Sales Support
Extensive telephone and/or e-mail contact with customers in the areas of delivery status, expedite requests and reschedules.
Some price negotiations, as assigned by Supervisor.
Support of outside sales representatives.
Considerable personal computer duties - i.e. word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, internet, etc.

* Organizing - Able to orchestrate effective use of all available resources.
* Planning - Ability to develop schedules and task/people assignments.
* Priority Setting - Able to quickly zero in on the critical few leaving the trivial many.
Will perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor.
