P1 Group is looking for a qualified Customer Service Coordinator for our Lenexa, Kansas office.

Summary and Nature of the Work


The incumbent of this position is an important part of the service team(s) to which he or she is assigned; he or she is a vital part of good information management.

The incumbent directly and indirectly contributes to the success of the company by increasing Service Manager productivity and customer satisfaction.

The incumbent indirectly contributes to the success of the company by effectively and efficiently supporting Service Managers and, when required, other P1 team members.


Education Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred but not required.

Experience: Experience in one of the following is required (at least 5 years of experience is preferred):


Dispatching or service support experience in mechanical or electrical service/construction industry, OR

Accounting experience in mechanical or electrical service/construction industry.

----- Must have strong data or accounting abilities, plus customer service skills and computer skills.



Computer Skills: The incumbent must be proficient in using email, database, and internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications: specifically, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows). Accurate typing skills.

Customer Service - manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

Interpersonal Skills - focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.

Essential Duties

The incumbent s essential duties are listed below. When necessary, additional duties may be assigned, and P1 Group expects the incumbent to exercise initiative to anticipate and prevent problems.


Researches customer requests and questions on billing issues for: price, material charged, hours worked, billing rate, resolutions, proper PO #, taxes .

Researches customer requests and questions on Contracts for: amount spent on repairs, PM schedule, repairs hours outside contract, copies of contract documents, invoice questions, duration

Works with other Coordinators and Service Managers to maximize productivity and profitability of Service Managers.

Handles other customer requests as assigned by Service Managers.

Fields customer questions and requests for documentation as required.

Updates Service Software customer information as new data is received.

Audits completed service calls as requested by Service Managers to review and to make any call corrections required prior to billing.

Deals with customers in a professional manner.

Acts as a first line responder for questions from Service Coordinators in regards to customer and processes. Escalates to Service Manager as required.

Assists with report gathering, and departmental data entry as required.

Discusses issues informally on a daily basis with Service Managers and formally once a week to insure maximum productivity, profitability and customer service.

Researched information for the Sales Department.

Reviews and distributed weekly and monthly reports to Service Managers and Vice Presidents.

Perform all other assignments as requested or needed.
