We are seeking a Customer Service Representative/Account Specialist at our Lake Forest Corporate Headquarters. The Containerboard Customer Service Representative/Account Specialist reports to the Customer Service Manager, Containerboard Sales, and is responsible for Containerboard Sale customer related activities for PCA, in the domestic, trade and export markets. Responsibilities include relationship building with customers, order placement, problem solving, spread sheet building and analysis, handling special requests, replying to customer inquiries, resolving customer issues and regularly interacting with PCA mill schedulers, transportation group and IT department. Export responsibilities may include communication with Ports and Export Agents, and specifics related to export shipments to Europe, South America, Asia, etc. Responsibilities include:
- Relationship building with assigned accounts to maintain and grow business - Proactively review orders and shipping status, stay current on customer needs and requests - Analyze order placement requirements to include best sizes and quantities for each of 6 mills - Process and proof incoming customer orders. - Provide and manage customer forecasts for assigned accounts Manage, alert manager, and track any carry over from one month to the next. - Follow up on any credit issues with Controller - Resolve customer quality and transportation complaints - Set up new accounts in the AS400 - Continually strive to support our commitment to service, which involves exceeding customer expectations whenever possible.Basic Qualifications/Abilities:
- Excellent analytical and communication skills - Highly organized with ability to meet deadlines for demanding customers. - Ability to create Excel spreadsheets with calculation fields in Excel - Experience with Microsoft Word. - Knowledge of the AS400 is a plus. - Sensitivity to foreign cultures is critical.
