Department: Operating Room

Contributes to the provision of high quality, cost-effective health care as an integral member of the patient focused care team. Responsible for effectively and accurately obtaining demographic and insurance information, follows all federal regulations, meets all compliance standards and effectively processes patients through the registration and admission process courteously and efficiently. Communicates in a professional manner to all medical staff, hospital staff, patients and visitors.
Two years of previous registration experience and/or insurance knowledge, preferably worked in a healthcare environment. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Effective communications both verbal and written must be demonstrated. Excellent customer service skills a must. Basic computer and keyboarding skills. 20 words per minute typing required. Previous financial counseling, scheduling/posting and healthcare registration experience preferred. Regular Full-time (40 hours per week) Rotating - Day/Evening High School Diploma/GED 1-2 yrs experience preferred Customer service skills are required
