span Customer Service Representative in Overland Park, KS - Contract-to-Hire br   br Do you have experience with medical billing and collections? Do you have knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD9 coding?  If so we have the perfect opportunity as a Customer Service Representative with a company that specializes in Healthcare Administration! This is a contract to hire opportunity paying $14ph. br   br As a Customer Service Representative you primary responsibilities will include: br   br Perform audits of patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timely payment of self-pay portions. br Respond to incoming patient calls to resolve questions and obtain payment in full. br Contact patients regarding delinquent accounts and arranges payment in full or, if necessary, mutually acceptable payment schedules. br Receive and resolve patient billing complaints and questions; initiates adjustments if appropriate. br Identify problems on accounts and follows through to conclusion. br Respond to patient correspondence for information in a prompt and professional manner. br Regularly follow up to determine if payment arrangements are being met; contacts patients to resolve problems; responds to correspondence or telephone calls from patients about accounts. br Report any problems, issues or payer trends to the Associate Administrator. br Prepare adjustment requests with appropriate documentation and submits to associate administrator. br Work with collection agencies and send collection letters when appropriate. br Review Medicaid Pending accounts and verifies approval.   br Follow up with hospital, patient and eligibility website to determine status.   br Update information on account, reprocesses the claims for payment.   br   br You are the ideal candidate for this position if you have: br   br Minimum high school graduate or equivalent br 5 years’ experience in a medical office setting, preferably with anesthesia background br Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices br Knowledge of insurance plan operational procedures and practices br Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities br Ability to understand and follow oral and written communications br Skill with computer applications and use of 10-key by touch, copier, and other office equipment br Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD9 coding br Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse customers/patients with a positive attitude br Proper phone etiquette br   br Does this description meet your preferences and match your qualifications?
