This position is responsible for providing highly responsive and quality service to customers through the use of multiple system applications, administrative processes, and operational tools. Candidates will possess proven interpersonal, communication and customer service skills to ensure a high quality customer experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Ability to work shifts between 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM Monday through FridayMeet expectations of the quality and productivity standards established for the skill supported in the Contact Center. Be an effective team player; contribute to individual and team goals in order to successfully achieve highly responsive, customer focused service goals that result in high customer satisfaction. Respond to telephone and email service requests with timely and accurate information Work collaboratively with our business partners to provide solutions for customers Identify and track trends that impact operational efficiency and customer satisfactionEmbrace and lead change to improve workflow, enhance customer service and satisfaction and reduce operating costs.Contributes as a subject matter expert in business and systems issuesQualificationsDegree from a four-year college/university preferred.Exceptional telephone, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills required.Adaptive/flexible: demonstrate the ability to deal with multiple, concurrent and rapidly changing demands.Technical proficiency PC applications, and skill related claims, policy administration systems, and/or web based applications.Thrives in a fast paced, front line customer service environmentAbility to work independently as well as part of a team.Seeks out job challenges and opportunities to constantly improve skills.Consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism through a strong work ethic that positively influences results.**A resume and cover letter is required for consideration.** Unum offers world-class training and development, generous compensation and benefits packages, and a culture built on employee ideas.
