MMI currently has full time opportunities available in our Baton Rouge, LA office for Customer Service / Support Counselors.

What will you do as a Support Counselor?

As a Support Counselor you will work with individual and families who have reached out to MMI for help resolving their financial issues. You will help your clients by assisting them with their various needs regarding their Debt Management Plan; a plan to help them pay off their debt and get a fresh start financially. You will work with clients and / or creditors over the phone in a call center setting, and will use your newly-acquired certifications, training and interpersonal skills to help put clients' minds at ease and continue their journey to financial success.

Former Customer Service Reps, Collections, Sales Reps and bank employee have all made the successful transition to Credit Counseling. Just bring your great customer service skills and a basic understanding of personal finance; we will provide the rest of the training needed to be a success!

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bilingual a plus - fluent in Spanish with proficiency in reading, writing and conversing.
High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a call center, customer service, or other environment servicing customers on an individual basis via telephone.
Background in sales, finance, education, consumer credit, collections, customer service, or a counseling-related field.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening process.
