Position Summary:Value Add Strategic Pricing for Service Centers. Responsible for proactively analyzing and making recommendations considering customer value-based marketing, competitive markets, and company costs affecting the business plans and profitability across the PSC network. Will collect, analyze and evaluate data supporting PSCs price to resistance strategy.Monitors and keep PSC network focused on corporate strategic pricing initiatives. Responsible for creating and reinforcing continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models. Develops, implements, maintains, and continuously improves strategic pricing of value added services with primary focus on kits and assemblies for the PSC Network.Essential Functions:-Performs ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness. Maintains and monitors metrics within tools such as the Income Statement, Quote Hit Rate, and Purchased Component Margin Report to ensure profitable value added growth goals are achieved. - Assists PSCs in determining appropriate value, prices and margin.- Maintains kit pricing adjustment plan for all PSC kits and implements pricing adjustments by coordinating with Division Strategic Pricing Managers, Sales Force, and PSCs.- Ensures Quoting and Pricing SOPs are maintained and implemented in PSC network.-Implements Strategic and Value Pricing best practices by coordinating with Value Division Strategic Pricing Managers. Analyzes value add market and customer segments to determine the ceiling and floor prices. Evaluates cause and effect with volume, cost, competition, and customer pricing power. Implements appropriate levels.-Performs centralized business system administration such as maintaining PSO item master.-Develops and maintains training documents and standards. Training PSCs to align with processes and strategic expectations.- Analyzes the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing.- Example responsibilities include:Leading annual kit labor collection and standard cost margin analysisCreating and maintaining reports such as quote hit rate, division component margin reportMaintaining and refining New Kit Quote Template to maximize value added profit
- Education and/or Experience: AS or BS degree in Business Curriculum preferred. Experience in sales or account management, preferred over retail or call center experience. Pay starts at $2,700/month and is based on experience.- Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.- Project management skills with sales/marketing experience a plus.- General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices and cost accounting.- Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential.
