FULL TIME MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor s degree and three (3) years of human resource management experience. Seven (7) years human resource management experience in lieu of above may be substituted dependent upon level and scope of experience. Ability to communicate effectively with demonstrable written and verbal communication skills. Class room training and computer based training experience. Previous experience with Affirmative Action regulations. Experience in employment processes and state/federal regulatory compliance requirements. Experience in background screening and specific knowledge of background screening across multiple states.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the general oversight and directing the work to facilitate the day to day operations and compliance in the employment, records and background screening areas. Specifically, the position is responsible for: Provide oversight to regulatory issues related to personnel files, background screenings, substance abuse screenings, and changes in employment law. The job responsibilities of this position requires access to compensation and other personal identifying employee information. This responsibility also requires protecting and maintaining the privacy of employee information, including compensation. Manage the employment related activities such as recruitment, pre-employment and new hire processes and affirmative action compliance. Identify hard to recruit, retain positions and develop strategies to address identified issues. Providing counsel to supervisors regarding personnel practices. Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment and regulatory indicators. Work in conjunction with VP of Corporate Development to develop compliance strategies to assist in attainment of organizational strategic goals. Develop strategies on improving overall experience during employment processes. Provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee recruitment and hiring practices, as needed.
