SUMMARY The Dashboard Developer is focused on the implementation of highly interactive and data driven dashboards focused on students, faculty, and administrators. They will work hand in hand with our design team to create mock ups and prototypes for various dashboards and widgets and then follow up that design work by creating high performing and scalable implementations that take into account customization and the ability to easily embed the widgets into web sites hosted by third parties as well as within the Pearson eCollege system itself. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. 40 % 1. The creation of platform independent and highly interactive dashboards that are highly customizable and scalable using technology that allows the end result to be easily embedded into web sites and viewable across a wide variety of devices to include mobile. 25 % 2. Assist in the design and development of UI mock ups, storyboards, flow diagrams, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes as they apply to the creative and effective visualization of data across multiple business units. 20 % 3. Supports the eCollege reporting and analytics product by driving requirement gathering from both internal and external partners, with a focus towards establishing product implementation paths. Interviews internal and external stakeholders to determine needs and help create and/or implement the appropriate reporting solution. 15 % 4. Provides ongoing consulting services for clients and sales staff regarding both analytical and operational reports provided by the eCollege reporting and analytics team. This may include consulting on the design of new report templates and analytical views, or providing sales support for both pre and post sale stages. All other responsibilities, as assigned by management. MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIESIncludes people, process, or functions. This position has no managerial responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Ten (10) years minimum experience including four (4) years in data visualization/dashboard design, four (4) web development and two (2) years in data analytics; or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * An established portfolio of past content to include interactive web sites and dashboards * Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization products and design concepts * Expert knowledge of a variety of web programing languages and visualization toolkits. * Excellent consulting skills; including the ability to drive to solutions based on needs assessment with clients
