Data Center Engineer II - Corporate

Robert Half International is seeking a Data Center Provisioning Engineer II to be responsible for all aspects of design, administration, maintenance, provisioning, capacity planning, reporting and support for RHI?s Data Center located in Pleasanton, CA. The Data Center Provisioning Engineer II will utilize safety and tool knowledge for hardware racking/stacking (including seismic bracing), ensure proper procedures are in place, and perform error checking and flow control for serial connections. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Support of data center administration in areas of electrical/cooling (air and water), space administration, capacity planning, metrics reporting and forecasting-Support for upgrades and hardware and server issues through basic and advanced troubleshooting -Resolve escalations from level I members of the team-Perform advanced switch setup-Perform cable installations using standards and best practices for Ethernet / Fiber Optic and Serial, including troubleshooting, advanced testing and certification-Rotating after hours on-call and overtime required

Requirements:
-2+ years of related experience required-BS Computer Science preferred-Current CCCNA certification required-CCNP, CCDP certifications preferred-Knowledge of R/S Data Center technologies (Cisco focus required)-Knowledge of Cisco Nexus and other Cisco Data Center Technologies-Basic switch skills (port configurations including port channels trunk ports and access ports)-Knowledge of router configuration-Experience in Classroom Advanced Network Essentials, Classroom Advanced Server Administration & Support, alternative cooling concepts and design, electrical optimization, and Advanced Electrical 3 Phase electrical are preferred-Intermediate knowledge of HSRP, HA configurations and concepts, IP addressing /subnetting schemes, SNMP, Data center best practices, virtual interfaces, load balancing, switch operation, data center tier Levels, IEEE 802.1q 802.1P, specifications technical writing (documentation) and basic hand tool knowledge -Excellent verbal and written communication skills-Good judgment in work responsibilities, escalating concerns, customer service and understanding business acumen-Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted-Strong troubleshooting skills � � ?Follow us on Twitter for RHI Corporate job openings and career and workplace news! http://twitter.com/RHI_Corp_Jobs ? � Robert Half International Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
