Job Description
Salem Health is a not-for-profit regional health system in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley that includes Salem Hospital, along with West Valley Hospital, a critical-access hospital; Willamette Health Partners (medical group comprising primary-care and specialty practices), and other affiliated healthcare organizations. Salem Hospital, a Magnet®-recognized facility, is a regional referral center and one of the largest acute-care hospitals in Oregon. Our hospital is licensed for 454 acute care beds, and is guided by a 15-member volunteer Board of Trustees. The hospital is the city of Salem's largest private employer, with approximately 3,500 full and part-time employees.
Salem Hospital is seeking a dynamic, experienced, team-oriented and quality focused professional to assume the role of a Data Integration Specialist II who will provide data expertise and consulting services to the various user departments while ensuring data and reporting integrity among all automated data systems.
General Responsibilities:
* Manages an inventory database of all management and external reporting requirements.
* Develops and maintains a data dictionary of major systems. This will include a report reference database.
* Monitors compatibility and consistency of all automated databases. Develops procedures to ensure data accuracy across systems.
* Works with department heads and other end users to provide consulting services for report and data requests. Provides information on proper sources of data to be used within the hospital for various purposes. If needed, extracts the data and develops the reports and/or report parameters.
* Work with Network (Systems) Analysts to develop and implement standards for existing and new database installations including:
o Backup/Restore plans
o Maintenance schedules (data integrity checks updating statistics, maintaining storage size, etc.)
* Work with Application (Systems) Analysts to analyze, develop, test, implement, and maintain integration plans for existing and new systems using appropriate tools.
* Develop and maintain the hospital data warehouse. Monitors and maintains data integrity in the repository.
* Work with Application (Systems) Analysts and/or the Network (Systems) Analysts to troubleshoot and resolve integration and/or database related issues.
* Develop automation routines for reporting and integration processes.
* Develop and implement processes and procedures to facilitate Data Center system monitoring.
Working Conditions:
Must be available to be on call 24x7 for specified periods of time and work alternate shifts as workload requires.

Minimum Qualifications:
* An undergraduate degree with a computer science major desired. Associates degree required or equivalent experience.
* Must have four years experience with network and computer administration in a business environment.
* Must have four years of experience developing and maintaining databases in a business environment.
