Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Data Verification/Acquisition Technician II.
The Data Verification/Acquisition Technician II will:-Set up, operate, and monitor any and/or all duty stations where training and certification has been accomplished prior to testing. -Perform various duties in the calibration, fabrication, testing, modifying, evaluating, repairing and operation of data measuring, recording and testing. equipment, operates and troubleshoots, test repair and modify digital, analog, and hybrid computers, and associated peripheral equipment.-With minimum supervision, perform all maintenance and operation functions associated with assigned laboratory or work area. -Use all support and test equipment. -Determine and develop methods, procedures, operational configurations and equipment required to fulfill assignments and achieve prescribed objectives.-With minimum supervision test and troubleshoot digital, analog, and/or hybrid computer systems and peripherals to manufacture's, or other prescribed specifications, use test equipment, diagnostics, schematics logic diagrams, wire lists logic equation lists, timing charts, and functional descriptions of circuit operations.-With minimum supervision, calibrate all general laboratory test and support equipment, such as gas analyzers, transducers, regulators, relief valves, temperature sensors gauges, flow meters, power supplies, bridges, strain gauges and other equipment, as necessary.-With minimum supervision, maintain a file of working documents, including procedures, test preparations, discrepancy reports, and historical records of all equipment calibration, usages, and repair. -Maintain a library of technical manuals for all equipment, including diagnostics, prints manufacture's operations and specification manuals, and other records as necessary. -Assist with teaching and training all of the above tasks. -Perform work and maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe manner. -Perform related duties as required.This is an ESCG CBA (Union) position:
Required Education/Experience/Skills:-Requires a high school degree or its equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. -Proficient in standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. -Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. -Requires complete knowledge of electronic theory, calibration procedures, technical knowledge for pressure, vacuum equipment. hydraulic equipment, . computer. techniques, methods, and equipment.Preferences:-Experience with battery abuse/performance testing
