We develop a majority of our applications in-house and have a sophisticated application suite based on the Microsoft platform.

Position Description
C.H. Robinson has embarked on an initiative to better execute corporate strategy using advanced Business Intelligence (BI). To take the data warehouse (DW) and BI to the next level of providing business value, we are in the process of adding new members to expand our technical expertise, and enhance our business and analytical skills.

This position will mainly engage in designing and implementing Enterprise Data Warehouse expansions using Microsoft SSIS, SQL Server, and Analysis Services. Prepared data will be applied by our Enterprise Business Analysis team to answer critical strategic questions and continuously enhance our trading partner reporting platforms.

- Datamart design and ETL development
- Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)

This position is responsible for working with corporate data for decision making and strategy advancement. Microsoft technology is the standard for the back-end artifacts

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional information systems experience with passion for data
- Experience with software development and data quality best practices
- Experience in Dimensional and Entity-Relational data modeling and OLAP
- Experience in performance tuning in a SQL environment
- Data analysis and visualization
- Experience in Performance Management using Balanced Scorecard methodology
- Proven interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in design documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain management
- Experience with design of multi-measure group Analysis Services Cubes
- Experience with Microsoft Data Mining products
- Experience with mathematical modeling and predictive analysis approaches

Required Education
Undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, business administration or equivalent work experience.
