Do you work well in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing teams, the Demand Planner job creates and maintains customer forecast models that incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. This Demand Planner job is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. Basic forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position. This position leads the dialogue for customer and product consumption with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing. If this sounds like you please continue reading. br   br Essential Functions br • Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function br • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results br • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions br • Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand and to apply demand forecast drivers br • Create appropriate methods for standardizing the sales forecast collection rhythm and methodologies across all levels of the sales organization br • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts br • Leverage existing company technologies to maintain Demand Planning reports that are readily accessible and available to multiple departments br • Provide input to the Supply Chain organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs br • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with inventory planning br • Create statistical forecasts by gathering, analyzing and validating data br • Execute statistical modeling software and review resulting statistical forecast model while applying error analysis techniques to improve forecasting br • Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts for review br • Review sales plans, customer finance Budget Updates or Latest Estimates and demand drivers including recommending adjustments for operational forecasts and reviewing promotional plans with sales and marketing br • Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel by preparing relevant material to facilitate research and discussion br • Provide input to volume planning by facilitating and managing demand planning/customer meetings that achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain br • Maintain demand planning system and software tools by entering and modifying data and by ensuring the correctness of product hierarchy br • Monitor trends in forecast error and communicate any discrepancies early and to all relevant parties br • Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence br • Prepare and maintain relevant reports and SOPs pertaining to the demand planning process br   br Requirements br &bu
