POSITION SUMMARY

The Deployment Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) Lead’s role is to provide readiness assurance for the planning and execution of deployment HUC activities in the event of a well control event. Additionally during a period of response activation, the Deployment HUC Lead will provide Company oversight to the Construction Contractor during MCV (Modular Capture Vessel) module integration and hook-up work. The MCV when completed is essentially an FPSO for capturing and processing fluids from a subsea well during response capture operations. . He or she will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of all plans and procedures, and will manage and lead the deployment commissioning team during Systems Completions activities and ensure effective System turnover to Operations for Start-up. The responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not limited to)

Deployment Readiness
• Responsible for the development and management of an iterative and optimized Deployment Execution HUC Planning Suit at both a general & specific work-pack level
• Responsible for the development and execution of an exhaustive lean-thinking based continuous improvement program for all HUC plans, procedures, and systems
• Responsible for deployment quality management and integrity assurance
• Responsible for managing the WinPCS System Completions Database (including ongoing updates driven my system/equipment MOC). This includes all drawings, procedures, and check sheets
• Responsible for managing and planning for key vendor participation in the commissioning effort. Ensure key vendor contracts are up to date, contractor readiness, and compliance with support contract requirements
• Ensure planning and sequencing of the commissioning work is coordinated seamlessly with the warehousing and equipment staging activities
• Maintain an adequate level of commissioning spares, test equipment, general tools and temporaries
• Define and maintain requirements for Operations involvement and accountabilities during the HUC effort
• Participate in and support deployment readiness drills
• Review long-term maintenance plans and experience on MCV equipment to ensure system readiness for HUC Deployment
• Remain current on industry leading technological advances in all systems, in order to identify and realize HUC improvement opportunities (speed, quality, staffing, etc.)

Deployment Execution
• Ensure that Company HSE and Work Management System policies and procedures are adhered to in all phases of the work
• Responsible for managing and leading execution of all HUC work in accordance with the Deployment Execution Plans
• Provide Company oversight and stewardship to the Construction Prime Contractor during all transportation, lifting, integration, and hook-up activities. Act as the Site Company responsible party for any issues and concerns
• Coordinate with the Construction Prime during Mechanical Completion walk downs – receive handover of all commissionable sub-systems
• Maintain and manage an up-line performance reporting metrics on all site HUC work
• Responsible for meeting the approved and optimized Deployment HUC Timeline
• Ensure that all “first fill” and pre-start up activities are complete
• Ensure that all pre-startup regulatory testing/witnessing requirements have been met
• Ensure that the integrated system is “ready for start-up”
• Lead the turnover process from Commissioning to Operations
• Manage the WinPCS Systems Completions Database
• Identify resource gaps, lead, organize and control discipline commissioning engineers, discipline leads and specialty contractor SME’s in a manner that ensures the groups goals and targets are met in a safe, timely, and correct manner

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
• Bachelor of Science degree
• At least 5-10 years of related floater HUC experience
• Experience leading discipline teams (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical) during project commissioning/start-up
• Demonstrated history of successful and safe construction, completions, commissioning and start-up work
• Experienced at execution plan continuous improvement and lean-thinking development
Experienced in coordinating work across multiple stakeholders, teams, specialties and vendors. Visibly demonstrate the commitment to Safety and Operational Excellence through values of safety, integrity and excellence
Collaborate Effectively across Organizational Boundaries as a team player
• Experienced in dealing with multi-discipline engineering contractors
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and organizational skills
• Has a strong results orientation and personal accountability

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
