JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: With oversight and guidance from the Atlanta Operations Manager, Project Stakeholder Liaison, and/or Southeast Regional Director, responsible for the successful completion of the assigned project in terms of technical scope, schedule, budget awareness and management of the day- to-day operations of the Arora Design Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*

Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, program/time awareness and technical expertise
*

Supporting, understanding and advising the Client as to the requirements and obligations in the development of a building design
*

Ensuring the design process recognizes current legislation, standards and codes of practice where applicable and appropriate
*

Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
*

Oversees internal project design team coordination.
*

Participates in and leads external project design team coordination
*

Ensures and leads project QA/QC reviews within the framework of the project deliverables schedule.
*

Attends site surveys and contributes to engineering studies.
*

Contributes to estimation of projects, planning and construction feasibility.
*

Strive to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.
*

Provides advisory information during the construction phase.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

Duties as assigned by Atlanta Operations Manager.

NEEDED SKILLS:

Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks.

In-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction project.
*

Strong understanding what is required for biddable set of Contract Documents
*

Knowledge of software including AutoCad and BIM (Building Information Modeling)
*

Good communication and people skills
*

Excellent motivational and leadership skills
*

Work well under pressure
*

Ability to present ideas effectively
*

Able to evaluate ideas of others
*

Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Project
*

Excellent written and spoken English.
*

Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE MINIMUM:

*

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
*

Georgia Professional Registration preferred, but not required
*

LEED Certification preferred, but not required
*

Minimum 10 years of design experience, which would include a minimum of 5 years of design management experience, aviation experience preferred
*

Ability to drive and maintain a safe driving record.
*

Valid state driver's license (any in US).
*

In possession of appropriate paperwork to gain and maintain employment in the US.
*

Ability to meet worksite security requirements.
