4 month assignment

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (In no particular order)

Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and mobile data computer and server problems.
Instruct and train users on software and/or hardware as needed.
Perform routine maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory.
Install, upgrade and replace selected software and hardware products.
Repair hardware (PCs, Servers, Telephony)as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service.
Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed.
Recommend and implement changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities.
Assist in implementing best practices and Averv Dennison IT standards that will more effectively utilize IT resources.
As needed, provide after-hours support for systems including, but not limited to, issue resolution, customer/core installations, and server monitoring.
Ensure support is provided to end users in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
Lead projects which improve infrastructure services while maximizing return on investment.
Support Lotus Notes client
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


A 4 year bachelor's degree preferred.
MCSE and CNE required
A+, Net+, Security+, MCP, MCDST, MCSA, MCSA certifications a plus

Additional Skills/Requirements
Possesses advanced technical knowledge to install, test, and maintain personal computer and server operating and/or networking systems, systems software, and hardware components. Develops strong technical and business knowledge to meet the needs of the team while working under minimal supervision.Knowledge of telecommunications equipment (PBX, Voicemail systems) is a plus.

Will provide technical support to Avery Dennison's internal and/or external customer base by performing the following duties: design, support, and maintain Avery Dennison personal computer, server and networking systems, applications, and peripherals as assignments dictates.

Effective self-management skills - time management, prioritization, planning, follow-up and self-development

Consistently demonstrates good oral and written communication skills using logic and Professionalism.

Can effectively communicate with IT and Business unit personnel at all levels.

Accurately assesses problems, their impact and provides thorough problem resolution in a timely manner
