POSITION PURPOSEProvides advanced levels of support of PCs and peripherals. Installs, configures, and supports non-core ( one-off ) software applications of limited deployment. Participates in projects. Assists in basic network support and problem resolution. Serves as primary response to customer service requests. Serves an integral role in planning and executing projects involving PCs. Evaluates, recommends, installs and supports network based and specialized (nitche) applications. Understands and uses network based software beyond operating systems, e.g. ZenWorks, NAL, Active Directory, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAssociates degree, or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a network environment. Advanced knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, and core software. Basic knowledge of network operating systems, protocols, and administration. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), A+ certification (or equivalent) preferred. Ability, aptitude, and desire to be part of service oriented team. Good written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and TIS staff. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
