Job Description

The Oracle Applications Technical Manager is responsible for the performance, functionality and reliability of the Oracle HRMS Applications modules (Human Resources, Payroll, Advanced Benefits, Compensation Work Bench, Manager and Employee Self Service, Online learning , Fast Formulas, Workflow, AME, workflow etc.). This position manages Technical and Functional Oracle Specialists. Ensure 24X7 Kronos application software availability to support mission critical business functions. Works with the management team to establish strategies and priorities for the overall enterprise by analyzing and understanding the current and future applications needs in order to formulate and recommend technology plans to keep pace with the business demands.
-Provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a technology team. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer's objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. -Serves as Oracle and Kronos applications solutions architect and leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. -Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. -Ensure service level availability of the Kronos application and provide on-call support on a 24x7 basis for break/fix/enhancement activities to resolve application issues. -Ability to work on building application strategy and roadmaps .Provides the technology vision and leadership to teams and ensuring overall strategic vision, mission, and culture. -Serves as a Functional and Technical Manager for new implementation and upgrade projects managing all activities of SDLC, functional configurations, design, development and implementation deliverables. -Setup, configure, implement, test and validate Oracle eBusiness Suite application modules and extensions. Develop, review and execute the System Test Scripts, perform end to end functional testing of business processes. -Ability to understand business processes, gather requirements and prepare design specifications. Work on Business process reengineering, System Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Solution Design & Development, Testing and Implementation. Guide users in formulating requirements, advice on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised processing analysis. -Ability to create application/system solutions prototype and proof of concepts, and demonstrate to business teams. -Creates quality project plans, manages dashboard reports, issues lists, risk logs, cross-functional team requirements and group presentations. -Design, estimate, propose, build, and document enterprise class architecture solutions and systems based on Oracle technology offerings in a complex environment. -Provide architecture guidance and advisory services to business executives concerning application/technology blueprints, roadmaps, optimization, and migration strategies. -Act as a primary liaison for all Oracle eBusiness suite users for project related activities. -Ability to work with and manage onsite and offshore development and implementation teams. -Develop, document and enforce application standards and procedures. Review Functional/Technical Design and implementation documents for utmost quality. -Define and implement procedures based on corporate policy and SOX compliance.
