Job Description

1) Use TCAD to simulate a high speed MOSFET
2) Extract Spice parameters from the simulated data
3) Use extracted parameters from the MOSFET and other circuit parameters to simultate an entire DC-DC circuit
4) Identify the sources of loss of efficiency. Develop a pareto of factors. Aid in the determination of which can be improved for the best financial and market impact.
5) Use high-end test equipment as needed to verify if TCAD results match to actual silicon.
6) Be skilled in the above areas to help ON Semiconductor become a leader in the DC-DC circuit area.
7) Be articulate in explaining the results to a wide spectrum of people in a simple manner.
8) Do other similar tasks to help similar teams on an as needed basis.
9) Help the company overcome obstacles in manufacturing this type of devices. Position Requirements 1) Show skill in device physics engineering. Understand the measurement and simulation of devices. Show skill in both measurement and simulation of semiconductor devices.
2) In depth understanding of the DC-DC conversion issues and challenges in the modern semiconductor industry.
3) Good human interaction skills and have the ability to teach others.
4) Have skill in using Spice and Synopsis simulatio software packages and understand the output of the these systems.
5) Be curious about semiconductor devices and helping the company make good profit on your work.
