We offer a variety of services including in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis (PD). **The Area Technical Manager** will oversee a group of clinics within the assigned territory.

This position will require some travel to 5 clinics in the area.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Assures dialysis techs are servicing equipment maintenance and repair is completed according to the manufacturer guidelines, AAMI standards and DCI guidelines. This includes the water treatment system, dialysis machines, reuse equipment and other equipment used in providing dialysis.

+ Accountable for the training of all technical staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Documents such training.

+ Accountable for maintaining proper inventory, following DCI inventory guidelines.

+ Assures technical staff are performing according to the facility policies and procedures.

+ Works with Chief techs to coordinate and document routine staff meetings with technical staff.

+ Work with Chief tech to Assure the physical plant is in good repair. Coordinates outside services as needed.

+ Ensures each clinic performs air quality testing according to clinic policy.

+ Keeps up-to-date on OSHA standards and other standards. Implements and monitors compliance with standards to provide a safe workplace.

+ Provides staff education in technical areas.

+ Actively encourages and is an example of open communication between physicians, staff and Area Operations Director.

+ Supervisory duties may be assigned.


**Education and/or Experience:**

+ Associate's degree or biomedical applications or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and one year related experience and/or training.

+ Candidate must have 2 -3 years of Equipment, Bio Med Technical experience, and supervisory experience.

+ Should have knowledge of Inventory software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

DCI employees are expected to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of paper and electronic protected health information DCI creates, receives, transmits, and maintains. This is accomplished by following the policies and procedures in the HIPAA training required for all employees.

**Bloodborne Pathogens**

Since this is a healthcare environment, there is a possibility of exposure to infectious/contagious diseases, hazardous chemicals and materials, needle sticks, and exposure to blood and body fluids. Further information regarding this position s specific work exposure category will be provided during orientation. This position is classified as Category I.
