Diesel Engine Mechanic Technician $16-$18+ Per Hour (Depending on Experience) Full Time Position Summary: Perform any combination of duties at the company's facilities or client facilities, usually working in a general utility or labor capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require Field Staff employees with varied experience and ability to work safely in a variety of work environments that may include potentially hazardous or dangerous conditions without close supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Repairs and maintains diesel engines used to power machines, such as buses, ships, trucks, railroad trains, electric generators, and construction machinery, using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools. Diagnoses trouble, disassembles engines, and examines parts for defects and excessive wear. Reconditions and replaces parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings, using engine lathes, boring machines, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, sitting, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, grasping or any combination of these activities over extended periods of time Ability to work on varied assignments under the instructions or orders of multiple supervisors Requires regular predictable attendance Ability to recognize potentially hazardous or dangerous situations in the workplace; ability to perform all work in a safe manner. Physical Demands: Stand or walk for long periods Use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Maneuver in tight working areas Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl Able to work in varying weather or environmental conditions Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties, which may often change Job Requirements and Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required and Link Staffing s minimum hiring criteria.
