Dietitian ADA PRN - North Suburban Medical Center-03192-29558 Primary Location: United States-Colorado-Thornton Job: Food Services amp; Nutrition Schedule: Full-time Description: Position Summary: Clinical Dietitian is responsible for patient care activities; provides nutrition screening, assessment and education to patients to meet their nutritional needs as indicated by diet orders prescribed by medical staff. Develops and implements nutritional care, plans and participates in patientstaff education, patient discharge rounds, and department and hospital performance improvement activities. Dietitian will work in an interdisciplinary team fashion with other patient care providers. Qualifications Position Requirements: A. LicensureCertificationRegistration: Maintains current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. Successful completion of ADA Registration Exam for Registered Dietitians; May be CDE or CNSC may be beneficial; Current BLS Certification. B. Education: Four-year college degree in Nutrition or Dietetics. Successful completion of an ADA approved internshipexperience. C. Experience: One to two year clinical experience in an acute care setting. D. KnowledgeSkillsAbilities: 1) Accurately calculates calorie, protein, fluid, vitamin and mineral requirements for normal and disease states using appropriate resources. 2) Accurately calculates nutrient content of parenteral and enteral nutrition formulation and makes appropriate recommendations for changes based on nutritional assessment of the patient. 3) Accurately utilizes pediatric growth charts. 4) Provides appropriate teaching tools for patient or family based on age, language and learning ability. 5) Able to organize daily workflow and routine to ensure best use of time.
