Digital Governance Manager

Job Advertised by Pharmadiversity Job Board - AstraZeneca uses digital media extensively in all parts of its business and has built up a large number of digital assets. AstraZeneca's digital presence currently comprises over 600 brand, disease area, corporate and other websites as well as social media presences, content on third party sites and mobile applications. In addition, the digital estate is expected to grow extensively in extent and complexity over the next few years to support the corporate strategy. AstraZeneca appreciates that there are concomitant risks associated with its expanded use of digital media and wish to ensure that the response to these risks keeps pace with technical developments and market demand while remaining consistent with the vision of Competitive Distinction Through Integrity (CDTI). To this end, AstraZeneca has formed a Digital Governance Council and Digital Governance Working Group and has developed an approach to managing the current digital activity throughout its lifecycle. An opportunity exists for an individual with experience in digital media and risk management to take on the role of Digital Governance manager to develop a digital governance competence to proactively support the development of new digital platforms, domain names, applications and content. The Digital Governance manager will report to the Global Digital Director of the AstraZeneca Global Marketing and Sales organisation and also to the Digital Governance Council, a cross functional leadership team responsible for managing digital risk. Major Responsibilities: *Develop a digital governance capability within GMSO to support the digital strategy *Provide strategic direction and operational guidance to AstraZeneca's operational processes including domain management and site registration *Facilitate escalation and resolution of all digital compliance issues between involved parties *Maintain and improve the existing digital governance processes *Work with business and governance bodies (Information Technology, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Marketing, Compliance, and etc) to identify and evaluate the risk and response to emerging digital trends *Engage with digital governance stakeholders and the business to ensure the policy and standards are keeping pace with changes in digital activities *Oversee preparation of monthly reports for the Digital Governance Council including the corporate risk profile, trends and current compliance status *Oversees all administration of digital governance council including but not limited to organizing and facilitating digital governance council's meeting *Maintains clear visibility into AZ's domains portfolio and ensures total number of domains stay within target *Manage 3rd party suppliers and relevant budgetary responsibilities *Represent AZ in internal and external groups including regulators to influence future digital regulation.
