JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY DescriptionCMG radio is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our digital audience team. As Product Manager you will engage with stakeholders, vendors, designers, and project managers to define products and execute software development projects. The resulting products will be consumed via browsers, tablets, phones, and other digital devices. The Product Manager will work closely with CMG's 11 local radio markets and report to the Senior Director of Digital Audience for Radio.
Create and maintain functional requirements
Assist in prioritization of features and creation of product roadmaps
Drive matrixed and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver new products
Lead rapid prototyping and piloting of new products and features
Work closely with Digital Content Managers/Producers and radio station leadership to execute strategies
Manage communication related to product enhancements, new releases, training, etc.
Define, track and learn from metrics of success.
Keep apprised of product, category and industry trends.
Create business cases
Additional duties as assigned.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of product management experience
Experience with various product types, including: web sites, video and mobile development
Demonstrated ability to synthesize research, feedback, vendor recommendations, and customer needs into actionable product requirements
Examples of thorough and clear product requirements
A portfolio of work that shows depth of experience with software development
A track record managing a diverse array of projects concurrently
Must have excellent conceptual, communication and organizational skills
Deep understanding of consumer facing online experiences
Understanding of technology concepts, such as XML/JSON APIs, content management systems, HTML, and CSS, in order to communicate effectively with developers
Proficiency in MS Project / Power Point / Excel / Visio
Must have a Bachelors degree or commensurate experience
Ideal candidate would have these additional qualifications:
Experience working with local radio or media organizations
Familiarity with online video processes and player design
Experience defining products tied to Content Management Systems
Experience working in an agile development process
Understanding of responsive design, mobile web sites, SEO, and social media
