The responsibilities of Director of Finance are to participate and direct the financial planning and analysis processes of the Marketing Department (NYX US, DMI, E-commerce and Retail Stores)


* Prepare, direct, identify risks and opportunities, and make recommendations for area(s) of responsibility including the plan, budget, trends and actuals for the assigned department(s)

* Partner with and provide financial expertise to business structures and support business growth

* Partner with Paris HQ to define/control re-invoicing of costs to L Oreal affiliates

* Reviews and evaluates the accuracy and completeness of internal financial reports that are prepared by others and whether the reports are providing value or need to be edited

* Coordinates multiple teams (cross-functional or functional) to achieve reporting deadlines and communicates risks or opportunities

* Ensure cost control and lead budget meetings with departmental managers

* Provide assistance to senior management of department on projects and presentations and present as necessary

* Provide direction, training, coaching and development to team and staff


* Demonstrates respect, develops others (i.e. explains strategic objectives and the meaning of projects) and enriches team dynamics (i.e. motivates the team)

* Focuses on quality, builds knowledge of the beauty business and demonstrates knowledge of beauty industry

6-8 year s relevant financial experience required; management experience preferred

Bachelor s degree in related field required
