RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Develops the technology strategy to support business objectives through research and setting policy. Establishes, formulates and operates technology based strategies/solutions aimed at keeping VNSNY functioning and on the forefront of IT innovation. Maintains awareness of developments in information technology, services, security, computer hardware, as well as acquisition and implementation of new services, solutions and hardware and keeps VNSNY aware of future trends and techniques. Works under limited direction.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related discipline. Masters degree in same preferred.
Experience: Minimum ten years progressively responsible IT management experience required. Prior healthcare industry experience with a strong understanding of the technological needs and regulations required in a healthcare setting required. Previous experience managing a medium to large size staff of technologist in a service level driven environment required. Proven track record supporting an organization with multi-state, multi-site locations and remote workers. Demonstrated ability to work with IBM, Microsoft platform products required. Proven negotiation skills to leverage organizational purchasing power and also to draw up best practice contracts and service level agreements required. Strong communication skills (oral and written) in order to communicate with senior leaders, co-workers, and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate resolution required.
