Job Description

Job Title: Director, Retail Marketing

Division: Luxury Products Division

Supervisor Title: VP, Retail Marketing

Location: New York, NY

Job Summary:

Drive retail sales via GWP programs and ensure Retail Marketing is aligned with Brand Marketing, Sales and department store retailers on these programs. Create GWP strategies including the management of the vehicle mixes to make certain the GWP programs are profitable and designed to encourage sampling to build the basic business post-promotion. Full P&L and COG accountability for the GWPs as well as managing all associated logistics and timelines related to the conception, development and execution of programs to arrive in store on time and on budget. Acquire a thorough knowledge of retail, industry and consumer behavior trends to identify new sales opportunities as well as customer acquisition and retention strategies to drive sales growth between promotions.

Job Requirements:

* 8-10 years of Marketing experience

* Experience in vertical and promotional retailing and marketing for a luxury or specialty retailer

* Demonstrated experience leveraging key geographic influencers and comprehensive knowledge of US demographics, media, life styling and customer driver and retention practices

* Working knowledge of industry technology and trends

* Strong understanding of Direct Marketing fundamentals and response-driven creative development

* Excellent business acumen and P&L management

* Solid understanding of ROI analysis, metrics and program/budget forecasting

* Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills

* Strong interpersonal and project management skills

* Proven leadership skills in motivating and collaborating cross-functionally

* Thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to translate findings to positively impact business

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

* Bachelor s Degree in Marketing or Business

* Must be willing to travel on an as needed basis

Judgment and Decision Making:

* Manage annual GWP budgets and P&L

* Leverage creative abilities to generate new ideas and concepts to increase retailer business

* Research and recommend cost-effective and efficient ways of producing programs

* Track and recap the performance of all animated initiatives, mix of business and new product performance in the retail store channel of distribution

* Attend and assist in seasonal retailer meetings
