Job Description
To develop and implement policies which provide an effective tax planning and management service to the company, including the maintenance of tax records, preparation of income tax provisions, tax returns and compliance with federal, state, local and/or foreign tax laws.

Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the effective and optimal planning and management of the company s tax liabilities.
Estimate the company s tax liability and advise accountancy staff to ensure that adequate provision is made in company accounts.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce the effective tax rate of the company while effectively managing the company s assets.
Manage the relationship with external auditors for purposes of reviewing and auditing the company s tax expense and deferred tax assets.
Responsible for use and property tax functions.
Responsible for sales and use tax, property tax, VAT and excise taxes.
Oversee the compilation and dispatch of all relevant statutory returns, ensuring that these are accurate and meet all deadlines.
Discuss and negotiate the company s tax liability with relevant statutory bodies.
Analyze the taxation aspects of any agreements made by the company with third parties and advise managers accordingly.
Act as the company s principal adviser on all matters relating to taxation to ensure that the company s tax liabilities are optimized.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date knowledge of all current tax legislation and other matters which might impact on the company s tax liabilities.
Supervise/build professional and paraprofessional tax team.
Assist the VP Treasurer with tax planning issues as required and in estimating and monitoring annual cash taxes.

Job Requirements
Strong accounting and tax reporting abilities.
Working knowledge of US regulations and ability to advocate for global compliance policies.
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong business acumen with polished communication skills.
Demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.

Education / Training required:
Bachelor degree in accounting, Master s degree in Business Taxation preferred
JD and/or CPA, active license status, preferred

Ten (10) years of related experience with at least five (5) years in top-tier accounting firms and/or public company environment.
Mergers and acquisition experience.
International tax experience.

Percentage of Travel Required
