Serve as overall client relationship manager and strategic business partner for key accounts, in liaison with Practice Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Responsible for developing and expanding new business opportunities within established accounts and securing new/prospective clients. Oversee the sales/proposal/RFI process and coordinates with Practice Leaders and SMEs to ensure client satisfaction Actively prospects for new clients and leverages potential new business opportunities within existing clients in partnership with Account Directors by supporting brainstorming meetings and providing strategic oversight and input. Analyzes potential opportunities and develops detailed business plans and sales strategies for each client account in liaison with Practice Leaders and the relevant Account Managers in other PAREXEL business units. Your ability to understand our clients needs and achieve quality results is critical to our reputation as one of the best Medical Communications providers in the world. Monitors actions and results against plans. Recommends adjustment to plans to achieve desired results Leads the entire sales process: preparing and leading the RFI/proposal development and sales presentation. Handles follow-up related to the sale and drives completion of contractual documents.QualificationsMinimum Work Experience 5+ years in contract-based sales in any industry 5+ years in life sciences: pharma, biotech, device, or consulting 2+ years in business development or planning/strategic new product role Advanced degree in a scientific or technical discipline or MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
