Director, Diagnostic Imaging Administration/Grants Administrator (ACRIN) Job Type: Full Time Location: Philadelphia, PA Job Description: DIRECTOR, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING ADMINISTRATION/GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR The American College of Radiology (w.ACR.org), a professional association for radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, interventional radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, has played a major role in radiology clinical research since the 1960s. Located in Philadelphia, the ACR's Clinical Research Center administers the American College of Radiology Imaging Network (w.ACRIN.org) and other clinical research projects. ACRIN is a member of the National Cancer Institute's Clinical Trials Cooperative Group Program and provides a comprehensive infrastructure for conducting multi center clinical trials of medical imaging related to cancer. Funding from other private and governmental sources has allowed the expansion of ACRIN's research into other areas including cardiovascular and neurological imaging. ACRIN clinical trial support includes research design, protocol development, and site qualification, in addition to recruitment, data management, regulatory compliance, biostatistical analysis and results reporting. As a member of the ACR team you will: . Manage and coordinate grant preparation, including competitive renewals, continuations, and supplements . Participate in various staff meetings and committees as a senior staff member of the Diagnostic Imaging Department and the ACR Clinical Research Center . Oversee ACRIN administrative headquarters and supervise project management team and supporting infrastructure. Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively . Oversee participation of research institutions on ACRIN trials to include site qualification procedures, monitoring site participation and site performance . Facilitate planning and implementation of ACRIN's scientific development of neurosciences and cardiovascular initiatives . Coordinate ACRIN annual meeting and other local and national meetings conducted by ACRIN . Lead development of responses to funding opportunities to include budget preparation, resource planning, and preparation of proposals . Author progress reports, budget justifications, budgets and other correspondence, as required by NCI, AHRQ and other sponsors . Oversee ACRIN contracting activities, including preparation, review by legal department, tracking, and timely billing . Coordinate assignment of staff to scientific committees and clinical trials at appropriate stages of development . Represent ACRIN at cooperative group functions and meetings Qualified candidates will possess the following: This position requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience. Master's degree preferred. Strong supervisory experience is essential. Previous experience with grant preparation and coordination is essential. This position requires effective communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills and proficiency with MS Office. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with teams are necessary.
