Director of Education

The Clinical Director of Education manages the operations of the assigned department or departments under the direction of a senior management member. These duties include: recommending a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide services, providing for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department, participating in selecting outside sources for needed services, and managing the financial and business and ethical aspects of the department. The Director collaborates with senior management, medical staff, and department directors to create a climate and structure that encourages staff to set and achieve goals in providing quality and cost-effective services to both internal and external customers. **Must be willing to provide education on a unit since there are no clinical educators on each unitQualifications:andmiddot; Colorado RN license requiredandmiddot; Masters Degree highly preferred, Bachelors requiredandmiddot; Prefer Certification in Specialty Practice/Educationandmiddot; Experience in Nursing Education required in an acute care hospitalandmiddot; Minimum 5 years management experience in an acute care hospital preferredandmiddot; Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role requiredandmiddot; Also responsible for new grad program, orientation, on-boarding of employees, etc.
