Position Description:
Responsible for the vision and strategic planning necessary to provide the organization with the best integrated Employee Health Management and Wellness Services available by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the healthcare industry. Provides operational leadership and accountability for the assigned areas of responsibility including but not limited to: Employee Health, Benefits, Wellness, and Leave Management. Responsible for integrating an overall Employee Health and Wellness approach including Health Management and Wellness program design, implementation, administration, evaluation and communication; directs the leave of absence, return to work, transitional work, workers compensation, and paid time off policies and programs; proactively monitors utilization data for all benefit, employee health and wellness programs and makes ongoing recommendations based on analysis of data. Ensures the quality of services delivered by collaborating intra/interdepartmentally with management, staff, colleagues, administration, physicians, and others. Develops and maintains respectful relationships with outside partners, consultants and vendors. Directly responsible for the development and implementation of policies, plans and programs to assure the most effective utilization of programs and services to support business strategies. Effectively manages material, fiscal and human resources. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required. Minimum of five (5) years experience in benefits and employee health in a medium to large, multi-site employer with a minimum of three (3) years at a manager or higher capacity. Must have outstanding technical benefits and employee health knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to prepare memoranda and other documents, to deliver presentations, to communicate with all levels of staff and to negotiate contracts with outside vendors. Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills required to evaluate existing programs and recommend modifications, to implement new programs, and to develop budgets and analyze data. Strong interpersonal skills required in interactions with department staff and all levels of hospital personnel, vendors, representatives of other agencies and institutions, and the public. Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Ohio with COHN certification desirable. Previous experience with employee wellness programs desirable. Full time management Day 5 years of experience required
