Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Leader to join the VWR Catalyst Equipment and Instrument Services group.
As the Director, you will be responsible for creating the strategic vision, identifying and driving key performance indicators, implementing continuous improvement and driving revenue for this key service group. The ideal candidate will have proven success in technical service management including identifying and delivering on innovative service solutions, developing and leading remote teams, as well as driving profitability through business development and key client account management activities. This position may require up to 25% travel.
This position is based in Radnor, PA with no relocation assistance offered.
Job Responsibilities:
Development and management of Equipment and Instrument Services policies and procedures
Develops strategic departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities
Promotes the organization's capabilities to clients, identifies sales opportunities to be forwarded to the account managers, and works to achieve contract extension or to win additional business within the account(s)
Manages the delivery of contracted services to clients to ensure that service level agreements and key performance indicators as defined in the relevant contracts are met or exceeded
Provides talent development and leadership to managers, supervisors and professional/technical staff
Ensures that new and ongoing services are delivered on time and meet client requirements
Ensures that operational teams maintain a clear understanding of the client's needs, and provides day-to-day client advice and support
Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation
Prepares and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety analyses (JSAs)
Job Requirements:
Demonstrated skills in leading a team of highly specialized, competent, and independent resources
Demonstrated skills in advanced project management, planning and leading/coaching a functional work group, team or unit
Demonstrated skills in leading a remote team
Demonstrate skills that facilitate trust within the team, all levels within the organization and customers
Strong leadership skills; ability to develop and successfully execute departmental, organizational and business plans
Strong analytical skills; ability to lead team in auditing, dissecting problems into manageable components, develop recommendations, implement solutions
Experience preparing and delivering presentations to highest levels of management
Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation skills to all levels of an organization)
Ability to work well under time constraints and deadlines
Is able to instruct, teach, and guide both customers and other EIS support personnel
Excellent time management, communications, and organization skills
Proficient use of computers and Microsoft applications
Visual ability to adequately read and prepare technical documents and records
Ability to travel up to 25%
Desired Experience:
10+ years applicable experience; VWR experience a plus
5+ years of leadership experience
Proven leadership experience
Educational:
BA/BS degree; MBA preferred
