Job Description


The Sr. HR Business Partner (Director level experience) works with specific business leadership to deliver overall human capital and talent management solutions to improve employee and business results for a unique business unit.

1. Partners with business leaders to create and drive human capital strategy, for overall business goals.
2. Collaborates with all facets of HR specialties (TA, Talent Management, OD, Training, Total Rewards, Change, ER) to deliver solutions in line with business unit strategy.

3. Works with business leaders to develop a strategic workforce plan. Helps target and develop next Hi-Po leaders.
4. Influences business leaders to implement changes needed to increase performance of staff and business.
5. Develops comprehensive change management strategies to guide the function from current to future state with the right people in place.
6. Builds consensus with business management and leaders for performance management programs.
7. Develops performance solutions coinciding with organizational culture and values.
8. Utilizes data to identify trends and diagnose organizational effectiveness issues.

9. Mentors and coaches HR staff.

1. Strong business acumen, in-depth knowledge of the business and client group, and the ability to effectively implement HR strategies to support business goals.
2. Extensive knowledge of organizational development/effectiveness/behavior
3. Ability to positively impact the structure, culture and effectiveness of the organization.
4. Ability to collect and synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data.
5. Ability to recognize trends and influence leaders based on data analysis.
6. Experience supporting organizational strategy through the performance management.
7. Ability to provide coaching and guidance to leaders on a variety of performance related situations or circumstances.
8. Strong influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Ability to develop collaborative relationships with of all levels of employees and management.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
1. Ability to communicate business and technical information clearly.
11. Ability to manage a team through the use of group dynamics allowing for creativity and innovation.
12. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguous situations.
13. Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills.

15. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.

1. Bachelor's degree Required, an CMaster's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
2. Minimum of 8-15 years related work experience in HR and business strategy, collaborating with leadership.
3. HR professional certifications beneficial.
4. Experience in Financial Services, Professional Services, Banking, Insurance and/or related Services sectors NECESSARY
