Job Description

Director of Housekeeping position availble for 500 unit condotel, high volume oceanfront resort .one of the best in Myrtle Beach. Must have 5-7 years as Director of Housekeeping or upper level housekeeping management. Only surrounding states need apply.

This position is an extremely critical function in the overall guest experience and their intent to return. The Director of Housekeeping will oversee the daily operations of the hotel in ensuring a clean, properly staffed facility that maintains the highest standards. This position is also responsible for coordinating timely turnover of guest room inventory to help maximize revenue potential. DOH reports to the Resort Manager.

Responsibilities include:

* Ensuring communication gets to all levels of Housekeeping Department in a timely, efficient and effective manner

* Responsible for execution on a day to day basis.

* Hire, train and schedule adequate staff to meet business needs

* Although responsible for day to day execution, you should focus planning more on a weeklymonthly basis than on the day to day operation.

* Responsible for weekly payroll closings and meeting departmental expenditures and forecasts.

* Identify Obstacles within Processes and resolve

* Identify Staffing issues and resolve

* Identify areas of improvement, delegate project assignments, and follow- up through completion

* Identify opportunities for training and execute

* Maintain Adequate supplies and equipment

* Provide DailyWeeklyMonthly support to all managers

* Update all managers on upcoming events

* Be visible identify challenges and seek resolution

* Be knowledge of upcoming business needs

* Obtain feedback from direct reports and react appropriately
