Director Indirect Procurement- IT

This position has responsibility for managing all IT Hardware, Software, Infrastructure, Maintenance and Telecom sourcing activities. This person will manage the IT Procurement team that will source for over $500M in spend. Strong team development/management skills and experience are a must. This person will partner with the IT senior leadership team as their internal customers to ensure sourcing of high quality, low cost products and services for all IT projects. The list of suppliers includes all major IT suppliers such as IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, HP, NCR and others. In addition to ensuring continuity of our ongoing IT sourcing activities, this person will drive the development of IT strategic sourcing strategies while delivering savings in excess of $75M.
We are currently transforming the face of our IT group in upgrading all of our IT systems. In addition, we have very large projects being launched within our dot com business. This is a very dynamic role and offers intellectual compensation as well as succession planning.
The Director Procurement is responsible for managing specific categories of indirect spend across Home Depot. Will have annual goals for the spend they manage, including total cost of ownership reduction targets, supplier management metrics, and customer service metrics to gauge how well they are driving value for the company and satisfying the needs of their internal customers.MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -Scrub total spend, identify sourcing projects for individual subcategories within that spend, and develop an overall cost reduction plan for their total area. Measure actual savings achieved and other key metrics. Form and lead cross functional strategic sourcing teams to create commodity strategies and drive cost out of individual spend sub-categories. Manage organization of direct and indirect reports. Implement supplier management programs with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals, and improvement initiatives. Participate in strategic meetings with suppliers and business leaders to ensure execution of defined strategies. Lead negotiations with supply base. Lead development efforts of risk management model to proactively manage price inflation risk, and communicate changes in forecast to the business units. Apply 7 Step Sourcing Methodology to all sourcing projects as well as other process improvement efforts. Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of the IT and Procurement Ops team. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups.
