The Director, Inside Sales provides leadership for managers, team leader and associates in Inside Sales. The Director provides direction and coaching to management and team lead staff to help drive results and high standards within their team. The Director, Inside Sales looks to continually improve department sales processes and enhance sales results. The Director will have thorough knowledge of the organizations products and services, prioritizes and allocates resources, and ensures inside sales is providing adequate support in the field. The Director may work with inside sales representatives to develop channel partnerships and is responsible for market development, setting targets, and ensuring that revenue is generated.


Provide overall leadership for a team of manager(s), team leader(s) and associates and be a strong change agent for the team, including strategic direction for the sales team and efforts.

Oversee, coach and develop a team of manager(s) and team leader(s) as they hire, train and retain sales personnel while supporting and providing professional development to direct reports and opportunities for all associates. Provide methodology to track, analyze and measure performance of direct and indirect reports. Set high standards and drive for results by setting aggressive deadlines and holding team accountable.

Continually improve Department sales processes, leveraging Siebel,, etc., enhancing associate training & building close working relationships with WEX Bank, Product and Marketing to drive our Exhaust all Leads Go To Market Strategy. Also work with the Client Management Team to support & drive Contact Services for the Private Label & Co-brand partners.

Work closely with WEX Field Sales Division Managers to improve sales collaboration & enhance sales results. Continually monitor collaborative deals to insure all efforts are synchronized.

Foster a positive work environment whereby communication is enhanced and a forum for open dialog is maintained for all associates, both in general Team meetings and one-on-one sessions.

Represent WEX at key industry and association meetings, including speaking engagements as appropriate and presentations to Senior & Executive Teams.

Participate in Fleet Card Program development of WEX, including new services and products. Work with Product Management and Relationship Management to enhance program value. Interface and provide input and support to VP of Relationship Management and VP MasterCard sale, as it relates to service and support of key customer base.

Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration

4 Year College degree or equivalent experience required

7 plus years of sales leadership and management experience demonstrating consistent success in a business-to-business environment.

Must possess a thorough knowledge of the fuel management business

Must possess strong leadership skills and process improvement skills

Proven ability to manage a departmental budget, including pricing to ensure revenue targets are met.

Must have strong interpersonal skills for dealing with a diverse sales team and building trust easily

Must possess strong sales skills to understand and meet the needs of Team as it relates to improving sales skills & leveraging our Spin Sales Model and other sales tools.

Must pass a successful background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

Fully understand Siebel & its full potential, plus have a working knowledge of other analytical tools such as Excel
