Job Description:Position Summary:
Build a best in class business analytics function for Sandoz US to support all commercial line functions (e.g., Sales & Marketing - Retail Generics and Biosimilars, Business Development & Licensing, Portfolio Selection / R&D) enhancing Sandoz US market analytics capability. Identify the business analytics and competitive intelligence capabilities necessary for a top generic company. Builds systems, processes, and organizational change to close the gaps. As a specialist in market research, the Analyst will become the Sandoz expert in needed market focus areas; assisting Sandoz to grow in new markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand market trends
o Drive the gathering of information from primary and secondary sources and access its accuracy, validity and materiality. The scope of data will span across target customers, competitive landscape and adjacent markets.
o Analyze, report and assess trends at a macro level for competitors, customers, suppliers and FDA.
o Track the US generic market. Identify key market environment developments (focus on value / volume growth and market share).
o Create quarterly performance summaries for key customers and competitors. Summarize competitor & customer activities and implications, e.g., financial performance, key in-line & pipeline products, M&A / BD&L
o Regional overviews (Competitors, Market segments, Product performance)
o Country performance (Competitor, Market segment, Product performance)
o Launch dashboard
o Portfolio analytics support (e.g., pre-launch forecasts)
o Generate and disseminate actionable intelligence to senior leadership. Develop quarterly summaries on macro trends. Facilitate discussions with the leadership team to develop a vision for the future; develop business expansion plans; and to focus efforts.

* Enhance market intelligence
o Disseminate key news sources
o Benchmarking competitor portfolios (first-to-files, launches & implications)
o Track and report on key policy issues and proposed/active legislation
* Provide targeted analytics
o Compile detailed facts on competitors, suppliers and customers
o Perform Ad Hoc deep-dive commercial analytics
? quarterly SKU-level 'war gaming' for key products
? Sales rep target setting
? Generation of BD&L target 'hot-lists'
? Stock in trade forecasts
Leadership:
* Manage one analyst level direct report
Reports to:
* Reporting relationship to be determined
Minimum Requirements:Competencies:
o Advanced degree required Masters or Ph.D. with strong quantitative skills
o Experience evaluating business trends and assessing market conditions
o Understanding of the areas/actions that impact profitability
o Experience coaching and managing people and budgets
o Ability to think strategically
o High visibility position with direct exposure to the Sandoz Leadership team and the President and CEO of Sandoz North America.
