Based in Bethesda MD,
My client, a regional developer has a unique vision and new expectations for what marketing can do for retail innovation & design. The Director of Marketing is a critical role in this vision. This leader will be responsible for the strategy, design and management of our firms largest developments in the Washington DC, New York and Boston markets. The Director is the everyday interface for our regional office teams. Our culture is very flat and this role will interact will all levels of the regional office teams.
Specific partners critical for this role are our Managing Directors and Vice President's of Leasing. The Director will manage a team of Production Coordinators who execute marketing programs & support leasing teams needs. Hand's on execution is expected at times for this role which fits our culture of everyone contributing to execution. It's a great opportunity for a leader looking for growth, responsibility and fun.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• MARKETING STRATEGY FOR ALL CLIENT DC / NYC / BOSTON PROPERTIES. Role helps define the vision & branding strategy for major developments and redevelopments. Includes developing annual marketing objectives & strategies for key properties. Will identify core consumer targets for key properties, identify consumer needs and create positioning that differentiates property in market.
• MARKETING PLAN EXECUTION: Design and execute marketing programs that build equity, lead to signed leases and drive consumer sales at CLIENT properties. Includes defining program elements, objectives, budget & success measures.
• LEASING STRATEGY & PRESENTATION DEVELOPMENT: Enabling successful leasing is critical to retail development an important part of this role. Director will partner with leasing & development to create leasing strategy then ensure team designs / executes leasing marketing support successfully.
• DIGITAL STRATEGY & EXECUTION: CLIENT is a leader in social media committed to pioneering new concepts & strategies that increase revenue. This candidate will oversee digital strategy for our properties in the North. Will manage & approve social media posts with direct reports.
• TEAM DEVELOPMENT, COACHING & PRIORITY SETTING: Critical to our transformation is having leaders who develop strong teams and build marketing skills. This Director will be expected to manage up to four direct reports, setting priorities for the team, creating work plans and ensuring career development & retention.
Requirements EXPERIENCE
• 10+ YEARS MARKETING IN CONSUMER PRODUCTS OR CONSUMER RETAIL. BRICKS & MORTAR MARKETING A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED
• MBA PREFERRED
• EXPERIENCE MANAGING DIRECT REPORTS
• EXPERIENCE MANAGING BUDGET
