Director of Medical Oncology

Under general supervision of his/her administrative report, the Director of Medical Oncology is responsible for the efficient, effective running of the patient care unit(s). This includes, but is not limited to management of the budget, provision of patient care services, performance improvement, compliance with regulatory standards, and business development.46 beds in unit65-70 FTEsQualifications:andmiddot; Current licensure as an RNandmiddot; Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. BSN must be obtained by January 2014.andmiddot; Specialty certification requiredandmiddot; Minimum 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of management experience requiredandmiddot; Advanced education in management/supervision preferredandmiddot; Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursingandmiddot; Customer service abilities including effective listening skillsandmiddot; Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environmentandmiddot; Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
