Poplar Springs Hospital
Poplar Springs Hospital, a 200 bed acute care and
residential facility, is located in Petersburg,
Virginia, 20 minutes south of Richmond and 50 minutes
north of North Carolina. Situated on 25 acres, our
serene, nature-like setting offers our patients a sense
of calmness and peace. For more than 30 years Poplar
Springs Hospital has been guided by its mission of
helping those who need the full continuum of behavioral
services. Our facility offers behavioral and
psychological treatment for adults and adolescents
through our acute programs, adolescent residential
programs, partial hospitalization programs, as well as
programs for active duty military.
Polar Springs Hospital is currently seeking a Director,
Military Services. This position will oversee the daily
operations of a nationally recognized program in a state
of the art 32 bed facility. This position will partner
with local and national military installations to
provide a full continuum of behavioral services for our
active duty military personnel. This is an excellent
opportunity for someone who is driven, detailed
oriented, and looking for growth potential.
Qualified candidates must have the following:
* Master's degree in a social services/counseling
field, LCSW/LPC preferred.
* An understanding of the military culture and
experience dealing with the challenges faced by
* Previous experience working with PTSD and substance
* At least 2 years supervisory experience preferrably
in a healthcare setting.
