Job Description

Texas Childrens has an excellent opportunity for a full time bDirector of Nursingb to ensure delivery of safe, high quality, age appropriate, cost-effective care andor service within a family-centered care environment. The Director will mentor other leaders to enhance their performance and promote development of staff, establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical leadership, direct reports and interdepartmental liaisons to ensure the achievement of identified goals. This person will ensure creation of a work climate fostering employee participation, satisfaction and organizational commitment, and develop and implement servicedepartmental-based priorities supporting the organizations strategic plan and continually improve performance. In this position, the bDirectorb will manage these services: PICU, CVICU, Cardiology Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Transport, Critical Care Business Operations, and Nursing Administrative Coordinators. To qualify for this position, you must fulfill the following requirements: Bachelors Degree in Nursing Masters Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field Current RN licensure by the Texas Board of Nurses A minimum of five (5) years nursing experience to include three (3) years managementleadership experience Certification in nursing subspecialty Texas Childrens Hospital is nationally ranked in the top five among childrens hospitals by both Child magazine and U.S. News amp; World Report.
