The director will oversee all construction operations for a given geographic area.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesPosition Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:Assist business development and management teams with initiatives/projects as assignedEstablish and manage all aspects of the regions construction operations to ensure annual profit targets are achievedWith the GM, manage annual budgets and forecast reports, monthly budget updates and profit and loss forecasts as requiredEstablish/manage weekly and quarterly Local Office Safety Meetings, per established proceduresEvaluate industry trends, potential customers, forecast sales and standard product requirementsInitiates projects, including identifying and analyzing preliminary needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates and defining the project scope and objectivesIdentifies the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of project team members in relation to resource requirements for specific project tasksProvides direction and structure for the project, establishing clear and precise goals and objectives and establishing a logical objective basis for timeframes and budgetsClosely track and monitor progress of projects in an organized manner and report accordingly in high-level meetings with clients and CCM Managers.Conducts periodic project reviews with Customer, Program Manager, Project Manager Construction Manager and other key stake holdersMonitor/direct project overhead and operating costs to ensure profitabilityReview Engineering designs, drawings and project specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirementsInterface with client on working goals accomplished and in progress. Assure customer satisfaction and investigate new opportunities CCM may assist with.Provide customer follow-up for general inquiries, issues or concerns, feedback on ongoing and completed projects as requiredApprove/direct purchasing of supplies and small tools as required and within established guidelines and budget for the local officeAttend site visits and customer meetings. Report progress on projects to CCM Senior management.Submit plans and spec to subcontractors for quotations.Analyze bids and award contracts.Monitor sub-contractors progress and coordinate CCM work to be done.Supervise lower level managers, warehouse, field personnelOther duties as assignedWork RelationshipInside the CompanyOutside the CompanyAll DepartmentsAll Vendors and SuppliersQualifications and Experience Required:Bachelor's DegreerequiredTelecommunications industry experience as Construction Manager or above; knowledge of construction practices.A minimum of 10 years experience in telecom construction management is requiredComputer proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel required Financial/ Accounting/ Estimating Software; Project Management softwarepreferredOSHA 30 certifiedSkills: Excellent organization and communication skillsWell-developed time management skills multi-tasking and able to prioritize assignments, duties and daily work.Self-motivated and able to deal with a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Strong, supportive, flexible team player and people management experirence.Ability to communicate with client in a professional, effective manner.Strong financial acumenExcellent communication skills written and spokenAbility to manage multiple commitments simultaneouslyAbility to thrive in entrepreneurial environmentPhysical Requirements: Approximately 60% of time spent in office utilizing a computer workstation with 40% of the time working with landlords and jurisdictions Lifting requirements not to exceed 20lbs (drawings, code books, filings, etc.) Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces Must be able to move freely, including ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing May be required to work long and unpredictable hours Must possess valid driver s license We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
