Job Description The primary focus of this position is to drive excellence in warehouse operations for Reinhart Foodservice (RFS). This role provides the vision and best practices regarding warehouse processes and systems required to support the company's current and future strategic supply chain requirements. The Director of Operational Excellence, Warehouse will ensure that warehouse capacity, processes, assets and service are optimized to meet the operating goals of Reinhart Foodservice. Assist with the development of fair work standards and make adjustments with any significant business process change. Ensure employees are held to the standards. People or Process Management Responsibility: None Position Summary: The primary focus of this position is to drive excellence in warehouse operations for Reinhart Foodservice (RFS). This role provides the vision and best practices regarding warehouse processes and systems required to support the company's current and future strategic supply chain requirements. The Director of Operational Excellence, Warehouse will ensure that warehouse capacity, processes, assets and service are optimized to meet the operating goals of Reinhart Foodservice. Assist with the development of fair work standards and make adjustments with any significant business process change necessary to execute core process efficiently and consistently. This would include labot standards, facilitiy standards and aligned accountability structures. People or Process Management Responsibility: None Primary Facing Assumptions: Internal and external business partners and customers Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Warehouse Operations Responsibilities: Ability to drive results; preferably in a complex large organization; provide necessary support for Division Presidents and field operations leaders to meet their annual safety and operating goal. Strategic thinking - ability to define the next 'hill to take' in order to optimize inbound, outbound and support processes for warehouse operations; the ability to translate that strategy into a plan that can be executed to meet operational requirements. Develop standard processes and metrics to manage business results and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the warehouse operations across the business, including but not limited to:o Safety and complianceo Productivity improvements (inbound, outbound and support)o Staffing model optimizationo Customer service and perfect order deliveryo Engineered labor standardso Training and on-boardingo Material handling equipment optimizationo Effective use of technology solutions to improve driver and customer experiences Be an advocate for RFS' safety culture and ensure all processes and policies align around safety (people and food) and compliance to company policies and legal requirements. Provide leadership and work across functions (RFS and Reyes Holdings) on key initiatives such as productivity improvement, recruiting / retention, training / on-boarding, leader development and engagement. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Distribution, Supply Chain, Transportation or related field 5+ years of experience in overseeing Warehouse Operations, Logistics or other Supply Chain functions 5+ years leadership experience (Director level and above) in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Strong team building skills - hiring, developing and motivating people Interpersonal and change management experience and communication skills in complex large organizations; matrix organizational experience preferred Demonstrated experience in building strategic and operational plans that drive results over multiple cycles Strong analytic and financial acumen; demonstrated experience in budgeting, managing a P&L, and contract negotiation Continuous improvement and problem solving skills; ability to develop and implement processes and metrics to manage business results Knowledge of transportation policy and law (state and federal) plus knowledge of transportation technologies, databases and telematics systems Preferred Qualifications: MBA Degree preferred 10 years of experience in overseeing Warehouse Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain operations Experience in managing operations and teams across a national organization Experience in global logistics or supply chain operations Professional Certifications About Reinhart Foodservice: Reinhart is the largest independently-owned foodservice distributor in the United States.
