Job Description
Director of OperationsPurpose
Directs and coordinates Operations services within a defined area of responsibility at Eckerd. This position is responsible for ensuring dependency children are navigating through the dependency system towards permanency timely. Specific duties include serving as a liaison between the lead agency and the Guardian Ad Litem Program, Circuit's Sheriff's Department, Office of Attorney General, and Judiciary. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and addressing system gaps that impede a child's ability to move through the dependency system. Other duties include organizing, managing and evaluating the delivery of diverse program services in accordance with Eckerd policies, procedures, goals, and business plans.
Duties
* Provides up to date information regarding current federal, state, and local laws affecting the Project to all participants.
* Provides up to date information regarding current federal and state rules, procedures, and policies affecting the Project to all participants.
* Provides administrative management and oversight to all activities related but not limited to day to day operations including the Early Services Intervention Staffing. Provides leadership within the management team and the Project for a system of case intake and assignment and serves as liaison with the Department of Children and Families/Circuit investigative staff.
* Assists the management team and the Project in designing a system of case closure.
* Provides assistance to all foster care staff in determining and securing appropriate services.
* Provides accurate, professional representation of foster care services to community groups, including speaking engagements and other public relation functions.
* Represents Community Based Services as needed at Foster Parent Functions.
* Fulfills necessary administrative management and oversight to all court related activities within the Project. Attends court on a regular weekly basis.
* Responsible for the facilitation of the Circuit weekly data call, Bi-weekly Program Director's Meeting, and Monthly All Management Team Meeting.
* Acts as Project liaison with Developmental Services assuring proper access to those services for Project clients.
* Hires, evaluates, mentors, coaches and disciplines staff as appropriate.
* Assists the management team and the Senior CBC Program Manager in developing and continuously reviewing/updating a comprehensive policies and procedures manual and quality improvement program for the Projects' service delivery system.
* Assists in the training of all participants to assure the proper and successful implementation of the Projects' service delivery system.
* Assists in the development of all reporting, data collection, and statistical analysis related to the Projects.
* Designs/produces monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required and specifically regarding the duties and responsibilities assigned.
* Routinely meets with the Project supervisors and teams to discuss performance, provide technical assistance, and to review ongoing process.
* Reports to the Department, the Community partners and the Projects as necessary.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in social work or a related human service field. Master's Degree in social work or a related human services field preferred. Five years direct experience in the delivery of services to families and children along with a minimum of three years prior supervisory/management experience.
