THE ROLE IN BRIEF:
Our staff represents The Advisory Board Company in executive boardrooms at hospitals and health systems. We hire persuasive leaders with a knack for teaching and explaining concepts someone who's comfortable listening to CEOs and then mapping their problems to our solutions. Member organizations work alongside our account managers, who ensure seamless integration and unparalleled customer service. Members come to rely on our top managers to go deep on content and offer trusted recommendations.

Directors working on the Performance Technologies Account Management are responsible for day-to-day interaction with and strategic oversight of members. Directors work closely with the Delivery department to serve a portfolio of members across the health care industry. Directors strive to reach a common membership renewal goal, engage members in renewal transactions, secure new business opportunities and problem-solve on difficult member issues through close coordination with our Delivery teams. The Director also plays a critical role in crafting strategy on how to best serve product constituencies and support our relationships with the larger hospital executive team.

This opportunity is based in Washington, DC.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as an internal liaison to oversee product strategy to improve client value. Monitor and communicate member interests and 'hot topics' to the Product Development and Delivery teams on a regular and ongoing basis, and develop effective strategies for 'merchandising' services and deliverables to member institutions.
- Directly manage a team of Relationship Managers to perform against goals, providing formal feedback and guidance on professional development
- Manage logistics, negotiations, and renewal of a member portfolio.
- Present on the revenue position of products on a monthly basis to executives.
- Lead commercial conversations with members in the collaborative.
- Oversee and manage problem-member work to resolution. This includes tracking red flag metrics and ensuring key milestones are completed in a timely manner.
- As required, travel to member institutions to meet key contacts and serve in a quality assurance oversight role.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of product enhancements and cohort services. Developing and executing targeted campaigns around specific functionalities, services, and/or upcoming annual summits.
- Establish, execute, and track specific initiatives outlined in member service plans.
- Participate in monthly renewal meetings with the Delivery team to identify renewal risks and cohort trends.
- Develop and foster relationships with key decision makers and main points of contact at member hospitals/health systems and proactively managing these relationships throughout the year to 'unlock the value' of the tool and cohort services (e.g. monitoring utilization, recruiting members to annual summits, matching tool services with identified needs).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor s Degree from an accredited College/University
- Must possess a minimum of five year s post undergrad experience in at least three of the following:
- Commercial experience
- Presentation experience
- Leadership experience
- Client Management experience
- Teaching experience
- Proven team collaboration experience
- Proven staff management experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with senior executives
- Experience managing a team towards a goal
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Valid Driver s License
