JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Candidate will manage a worldwide Program Management Office of about 25-30 PMs. The Program Managers are responsible for managing and tracking the development and integration of Synopsys s Interface and Foundation IP into complex customer SOC s in sectors such as Consumer, Enterprise, Automotive, and IOT. They are responsible for creating SOW s, managing the execution of the programs to the SOW commitments, and tracking the associated revenue. PM s are the focal point of coordination amongst Customers, Engineering, Support, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Revenue Recognition.
For effective leadership of the team, the candidate must be skilled in project management methodology to drive the development and deployment of standardized procedures across the organization with the goal of improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the project management function. The candidate is expected to continuously develop the capabilities of the team for higher impact on the business. The PMO functions in a matrix organization, and therefore requires the candidate to be highly partner-focused and building strong communication channels with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The candidate is expected to coordinate with senior leadership of the partner functions (sales, engineering, and marketing) in managing key accounts and in identifying process improvement opportunities that are aligned with strategic business objectives. Must be customer-focused, with the ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Success of the candidate is directly measured through the satisfaction of a world-wide base of customers.
Typically requires a BS with a minimum of 15 years of project and people management experience. Candidate must have a strong technical background and proven track record in managing ASIC designs or IP development. Experience in communicating with senior management of the company and of customers. Effective leadership, coaching skills and ability to inspire the team members. Exceptional verbal/written communication. Ability to thrive and deliver in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Excellent organizational skills, dependability and work ethic in a team environment. Strong analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
